Building Recovi: From Idea to SaaS in 8 Weeks

The Vision

Recovi started with a simple question: "What if doctors could generate clinical notes in seconds instead of hours?"

Week 1-2: Discovery & Design

We spent the first two weeks understanding the clinical workflow, interviewing healthcare providers, and designing the user interface in Figma.

Week 3-5: Core Development

Using Next.js 14 and Appwrite, we built the core platform. The AI integration with Google Gemini was the most challenging part — getting medical accuracy right required extensive prompt engineering.

Week 6-7: Testing & Refinement

We ran beta tests with 5 healthcare providers, iterating rapidly based on their feedback. The accuracy improved from 85% to 98% during this phase.

Week 8: Launch

Recovi launched with 500+ notes generated in the first month. The feedback from healthcare providers was overwhelmingly positive.
